WEF-HU MBA Program scholars Naeem Popatya.
Location: Jamnagar, India
Description and Impact:
Hello Everyone, I am Naeem from Jamnagar, a city located on the western most coast of the state of Gujrat in India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Jamnagar District and is the largest city on the westernmost side of India and is the fifth-largest city of Gujrat state.
After the completion of graduation in Mechanical Engineer, I did a job as a Development Engineer for two years in a manufacturing industry in India. My goal was to pursue master’s degree but financially I was not in the position to support my educational expenses, I thus had to continue working. But as it has been said “where there is a will there is a way” I never gave up and tired looking for new opportunities with confidence. I always feel confident to do something challenging in life. When I came to know about WEF-HU MBA Scholarship, I applied for it with confidence and secured it. It was proud moment for me as a first India scholar to secure the scholarship.
Fortune came my ways as WEF-HU MBA Scholarship and turned my dream to pursue MBA in Project and Operation Management from the United States into a reality. I feel the change personally and professionally.
The journey to WEF-HU MBA is a story of struggle, hope, support and love. Many challenges came my way but the journey went on. One of the most challenging parts was to secure a visa for the United States, and fortunately, I got my visa on the very first attempt. The moment I had the visa in my hand, was the turning point in my life, and a journey towards a new beginning.
Starting an MBA program from Herzing University was a life changing moment for me. Herzing through its online program provided me with the opportunity to explore multiple dimensions of getting knowledge, it allowed me to be self-disciplined and opened new doors of learning for me. It allowed me to meet people from different parts of the world and learn from their experiences. It has the aura of new culture, new people and new experiences. I am thankful to the Worldwide Education Fund of the Dallas Foundation (WEF), Feen Unlimited (Screening body for Indian Scholars) and Herzing family to provide this platform of diverse opportunities. Finally, this journey would not have been possible without the love and support of my family and my faith in the mercy of the Almighty.
From now on I take this as my social responsibility to provide platform to the underprivileged students and give them the access to quality education and a better future.
